7 years ago I had a dream to start a juice business with literally no idea how. I knew I had a strong passion for health and the drive to make it happen, but I had no clear outline of what steps I should take.
I had never actually work in a food service business much less ran one.
The truth is, I had been impacted so profoundly by the power of juicing and living a healthy lifestyle that it felt like it was a calling to share this way of living with everyone else around me.
Originally I started my business with a juice truck in Los Angeles. I spent about 30 thousand dollars of my savings to launch this first phase of the business. Considering that I had zero experience, things were challenging to say the least.
The learning curve was steep, but I am grateful to say that at the end of the day, I cracked the code on this business model and we were able to make between $800-1000 a day eventually hitting the ceiling of income with a single truck.
From there I decided it was time for us to open our first store.
This part of the journey was also filled with many lessons. In the process of us launching our first store, I honestly had many moments where I thought were weeks away from closing our doors.
I had no idea what running this kind of business really took.
I had never built out a juice bar from scratch, and my budget was tight, so I did not have much room for error. The problem was, I didn't have any experience or mentorship, so I naturally made a lot of mistakes. If I had known what I know now, I would have done many things differently.
The good news is, that this store also became very successful. By the grace of something beyond and sheer effort I was able to bring this store into profitability.
Nearly two years later we were onto opening our next location.
Once my juice business began to thrive, I had many people approach me who were interested in starting juice bars ask for mentorship.
This is when I began my consulting practice. Since this time I have helped numerous businesses all around the world start successful juice companies.
