Avo on toast – who doesn’t love it!?
If you haven’t added toasts to your menu – we highly recommend it!
They’re a quick, easy, and profitable breakfast and lunch option and they also go hand-in-hand with pretty much any drink option you have on your menu, which is great when you’re trying to increase your average ticket value.
A great way to market your toasts, or any menu item really, is to put a unique spin on something which would otherwise be considered ordinary – take our Happy Toast for example!
1 mashed Avocado
2 slices Sourdough Bread (toasted)
1/3 cup cut in half Cherry tomatoes
1/4 Tsp Himalayan salt
1/16 Tsp Chili Flakes
2 slice Lemon
1 Tbsp fresh Parsley chopped
1/8 Tsp fresh ground Black pepper
1/4 cup Spinach
1 Tbsp Pumpkin seeds
1 Tbsp Goji Berries
Avocado is a serious superfood when it comes to depression, as it contains tryptophan, folate AND omega-3. Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid that helps combat inflammation in the brain and also helps regulate our brain’s neurotransmitters. Spinach is also high in folate, another nutrient that helps increase levels of serotonin in the brain.
Goji berries have been known to boost the energy levels of those who consume them. Along with this rise in energy comes a rise in natural endorphins.
