Leveraging Social Proof When Marketing Your Juice Bar
What is social proof?
Social proof is the power of group influence.
If you think of this in terms of finding a restaurant to eat in, you are much more likely to want to eat somewhere if you notice there are already lots of people inside. This gives us an element of reassurance their product is good and makes us feel like we are reducing our risk because the place has already been socially validated.
Studies have also found that positive social proof is actually more influential than saving money.
So in the case above, a busy restaurant that might have higher prices will always be the preferred choice over somewhere emptier but with cheaper prices.
A few stats for you here as well;
- Over 70% of Americans say they look at product reviews before making a purchase.
- Nearly 63% of consumers indicate they are more likely to purchase from a site if it has product ratings and reviews.
So what does this mean for you as a juice bar owner?
It means you should be focussing on some key areas to make sure your leveraging social proof to your greatest benefit.
You should really be looking at at least a 4.5 out of 5-star rating on all the main review sites online, so google, yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.
To help with this you can offer incentives to your customers for writing a good review like a free juice or smoothie.
Make sure your cups or glass bottles have your logo on them.
You want people to actually see your product being consumed and this is a great way to gain free exposure.
You can also offer incentives for people to post pictures of themselves in your store consuming your product.
If they do this and tag the company, they can redeem a free juice, smoothie or wellness shot on their next visit!
All the above will allow potential new customers to feel assured your Juice Bar is worth visiting so make sure you try and implement and stay on top of this to keep enticing new customers through the door!
